Basketball Game Preview: Calaveras Red Hawks vs. Sacramento Dragons

Two dominant guards in Mariah Maddock and La Ne Dunn are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Calaveras Red Hawks will face off against the Sacramento Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Calaveras ended up a good deal behind Bret Harte and lost 48-31.

Meanwhile, Sacramento was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 47-41 to Pioneer.

Calaveras will have to contain Dunn as she made an impact in Sacramento's last game. She dropped a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Dunn's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Chrisshaya Haygood, who posted six points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Sacramento's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Calaveras, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
