Softball Recap: Wesleyan Wins Going Away Against Lassiter

After losing to Lassiter the last time they met, Wesleyan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolves put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-3 win on Saturday. Considering the Wolves have won seven matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Wesleyan and bumps their season record up to 15-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Lassiter, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Coming up, Wesleyan will challenge Lambert at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Lassiter, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Dacula on the 13th.
