Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maranatha). They put the hurt on the Ramona Convent Tigers with a sharp 6-1 victory on Thursday. It was an even better day for Jai Scipio as she scored four goals for her team.

Maranatha is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Ramona Convent, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-1.

Maranatha will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Genevieve at 10:30 a.m. on December 26th. As for Ramona Convent, they will be taking part in a tournament against Samueli Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ramona Convent's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
