Basketball Recap: Germantown Comes Up Short

Germantown suffered their biggest defeat since February 22nd on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Houston Mustangs 71-40. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.

Germantown's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Houston, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Germantown will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Munford at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Houston, they will be home for the holidays to greet Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
