Football Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were dealt a 45-7 defeat at the hands of the Harlan Hawks. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Harlan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Marshall is ranked 901st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aldric Trotter had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 212 yards and five TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of G'Ivori Graham, who gained 54 total yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Marshall will face off against Brennan at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Harlan, they will challenge Holmes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
