Soccer Recap: Westridge Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mayfield, Westridge was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Providence Pioneers with a sharp 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Providence with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bennett Thein (2), Danika Vargas, and Valeria Alvarado.

The win snapped Westridge's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4-3 record. As for Providence, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6-1.

When Westridge and Providence next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Westridge will try to stop Chadwick's three-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Providence will challenge Flintridge Prep and their four-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
