Softball Recap: Starmont Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Starmont can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on the Central Warriors with a sharp 14-2 win. The Stars' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Starmont's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Central, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Looking ahead, Starmont will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Stars are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Winneshiek at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. South Winneshiek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
