Conemaugh Township is 0-10 against Portage since January of 2019 but things could change  on Friday. The Conemaugh Township Indians will look to defend their home court  against the Portage Mustangs  at 7:15  p.m. Conemaugh Township is coming into the  match hot, having won their last four games.
While Conemaugh Township didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past United with  a  36-32 win on Saturday.

 Conemaugh Township's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Ava Byer, who  posted 11  points along with six  boards and three  steals, and   Mayce Kordell, who  put up nine points and three  steals. Kordell has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  steals the last four times she's  played.
Meanwhile, Portage beat Everett 50-40  on Friday.
Portage's win came from a few key players Conemaugh Township will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Kendall Bednarski, who  earned 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Liana Bagby, who  posted seven  points along with eight  boards and four  steals.
 Portage  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  games.
 Portage is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Conemaugh Township, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  Conemaugh Township has crashing the boards this season,  having  averaged 31.2  boards per game. However, it's not like Portage struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 34.3  rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
 Conemaugh Township took a serious blow against Portage  when the teams last played  back in January, falling  62-31. Thankfully for Conemaugh Township,  Jenna Burkett (who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and nine  rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
