Soccer Recap: St. Edmond Takes a Loss

St. Edmond lost against Des Moines East back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gaels came up short against the Scarlets, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, St. Edmond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Des Moines East are ranked 13th).

St. Edmond's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Des Moines East, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0-1.

St. Edmond has already played their next match (against Humboldt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Des Moines East, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Fort Dodge on the 25th.
