Softball Recap: Berrien Takes a Loss

Berrien and Academy for Classical Education squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Berrien had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 8-7. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gryphons earlier this season, when they won 12-11.

C Warren was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of L Tucker, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Berrien has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Academy for Classical Education, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.

Berrien does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy for Classical Education, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Banks County on the 22nd.
