Football Recap: Twin River Titans vs. Madison Dragons
Twin River had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They lost 52-26 to the Madison Dragons. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colsten Rodriguez, who threw for 233 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries. Another player making a difference was Braedyn Ramaekers, who picked up 110 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Madison's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bodonn Sweeney had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 195 yards and five scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 158 yards and one TD on only nine passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Twin River will challenge rival Humphrey-Lindsay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Madison is set to face off against their familiar foe Newman Grove/St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
