Baseball Recap: Hebron Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Hebron Christian barely beat Hart County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Hebron Christian was the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over Hart County on Friday. Considering the Lions have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dallas Rice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dean Livingston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Hebron Christian: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of James McGuirt, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The win (which was Hebron Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hart County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
