Basketball Recap: WISH Academy Skates Past Burton with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask WISH Academy). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-5 win over the Burton Scorpions . The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Kourtney Woodruff had an outrageously good game as she posted 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Leon, who earned 16 points.

WISH Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Burton, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

WISH Academy will venture away from home to square off against Animo Venice at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. WISH Academy is facing Animo Venice at the right time seeing as Animo Venice is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Burton, they will take on Animo Watts at 12:15 p.m. on Friday.
