Baseball Recap: Collinsville Pirates vs. Wolfe City Wolves

With a playoff game on the line, Collinsville rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolfe City Wolves a 10-0 shutout. Collinsville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 25 games by six runs or more this season.

Logan Jenkins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Jenkins has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Jenkins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Collinsville is on the road again on Saturday to play Muenster. Collinsville is facing Muenster at the right time seeing as Muenster is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Wolfe City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
