Softball Recap: Marshalltown Makes It Six in a Row at Home

While Marshalltown's win against Lincoln wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Railsplitters 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Railsplitters: they've now won three in a row.

Marshalltown's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-20. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Marshalltown has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Southeast Polk on the 12th. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
