Soccer Recap: Luella Comes Up Short

Luella's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverdale Raiders. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Luella's goal came courtesy of LIONEL ITURRIA, who's now up to five this season.

Luella's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Riverdale, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Coming up, Luella will welcome Mt. Zion at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Stephenson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
