Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kennedy Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Kennedy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-5. As for Kennedy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10-2 record this season.

Jefferson has already played their next game (against Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Kennedy, they will square off against Dowling Catholic on the 27th. Dowling Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kennedy surely won't give up without a fight.
