Basketball Recap: Reynolds Takes a Loss

Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Cochranton Cardinals 68-40. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Cochranton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Macie Williams led the charge by going 6 for 11 on her way to 19 points along with eight boards and six assists. Those 19 points gave Williams a new career-high. Marley Rodax was another key player, putting up 13 points and six steals.

Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cochranton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reynolds will take on Sharpsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cochranton, they will challenge Cambridge Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
