Baseball Recap: Annapolis Comes Up Short

Annapolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Everest Collegiate.

Cunningham Dominic was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Zavier Reid, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Annapolis' record is now 12-18. As for Everest Collegiate, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-18-1.

Looking ahead, Annapolis will be playing at home against Riverview at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Everest Collegiate, they will head out to take on Clintondale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Everest Collegiate's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 11.3 runs per game this season.
