Volleyball Recap: Cypress Creek Takes a Loss

Cypress Creek saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Sickles Gryphons by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Cypress Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Charlotte Spinner had nine digs and one assist.

Ava Montagna was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 11 matches. Adriana Parchmon also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Sickles, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Cypress Creek and Sickles will both be playing Springstead the next time they take the court. The Gryphons will head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Coyotes will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
