Soccer Recap: Windsor Extends Winning Streak to Five

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor). Everything went their way against the Maria Carrillo Pumas on Friday as the Windsor Jaguars made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Pumas are ranked 403rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Karli Sikes and Natalie Bianchi scored all three of Windsor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

The victory (which was Windsor's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Maria Carrillo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-2 record this season.

Windsor wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Ukiah on the 5th. As for Maria Carrillo, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Montgomery on the 5th.
