Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Wapello's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Wapello posted their closest victory since May 30th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Van Buren County Warriors 7-5. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Wapello is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Van Buren County, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Wapello didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Columbus on the 17th. Van Buren County has also already played their next game (against West Burlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
