Basketball Recap: Mansfield Comes Up Short

Mansfield lost against Athens back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mansfield Tigers fell 47-40 to the Athens Wildcats. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mansfield now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Athens, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Mansfield has already played their next match (against Towanda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Athens will welcome Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Troy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
