Recap: Oakdale Mustangs vs. Sierra Timberwolves
The Oakdale Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Sierra with points to spare, taking the game 42-25. This was payback for Oakdale, who suffered a 47-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Sierra saw an underclassman step up: Mya Everett scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Everett hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Janessa Barnes, who scored two points along with three steals and three blocks.
Oakdale's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Sierra, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 11-9.
Oakdale will take on Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sierra, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Manteca at 7:00 p.m. Manteca will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
