Coffee and Jeff Davis are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but likely not for long. The Trojans will challenge the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coffee's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Jeff Davis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Monday just wasn't the day for Coffee's offense. They fell 3-0 to Irwin County on Monday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Coffee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Fender, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jeff Davis). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Telfair County on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Jeff Davis' win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Coffee, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Coffee came out on top in a nail-biter against Jeff Davis in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
