Volleyball Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Geneva Vikings + Official Tickets

The Metea Valley Mustangs will head out to square off against the Geneva Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Metea Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Neuqua Valley and fell 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Metea Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-27, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Geneva didn't have quite enough to beat Wheaton North on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Geneva started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Metea Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Geneva in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
