Legacy Academy extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping them up to 9-1. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-0 W against the Santa Rosa Lions. This was payback for the Silverbacks, who suffered a 27-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lorenzo Sedillo-Urban threw for 116 yards and one TD. Jay Lee was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Xander Chavez rushed for 75 yards.

As for Santa Rosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2. The matchup marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

Despite the loss, Santa Rosa still got an impressive performance from David Chavez, who rushed for 156 yards, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.

Legacy Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Rosa, they will face off against Tucumcari at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
