Baseball Recap: Forest Park Find Success

On Tuesday, the Forest Park Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rome Wolves 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Jacoby Hendricks was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andre Turnipseed, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Forest Park's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rome, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rome has already played their next game (against Woodland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
