Soccer Recap: Nevada Sets Scoring Season-High Against Prairie City-Monroe

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nevada). Their defense stepped up to hand the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Nevada haven't had any issues with Prairie City-Monroe recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Nevada's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Nevada will head out to square off against North Polk at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Polk's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will host Perry at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Prairie City-Monroe's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
