Soccer Recap: Rancho Verde Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Jacinto, Rancho Verde was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the West Valley Mustangs onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Rancho Verde has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw West Valley, too.

Rancho Verde's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for West Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-5-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Verde will square off against Citrus Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Verde's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for West Valley, they will take on San Jacinto at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
