Baseball Game Preview: Echols County Wildcats vs. Atkinson County Rebels

The Echols County Wildcats will face off against the Atkinson County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Echols County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Echols County's offense. They lost 10-0 to Charlton County on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atkinson County). Everything went their way against Turner County on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-3 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rebels as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aidan Meeks was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2025. Jack Tillman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Atkinson County's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Echols County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
