Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-34 loss at the hands of the Dublin Gaels. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Gaels are ranked 143rd).

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Dublin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

When Liberty and Dublin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Liberty will try to stop Carondelet's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dublin will challenge San Ramon Valley and their five-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
