Basketball Recap: Mt. Eden Takes a Loss

Mt. Eden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the San Leandro Pirates, falling 60-27. The Monarchs lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-39 score last time.

Mt. Eden's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for San Leandro, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Mt. Eden will host Arroyo at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for San Leandro, they will square off against Hayward at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
