Monache is 0-3 against Immanuel since March of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Marauders will challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Monache comes in on four and Immanuel on five.
Monache is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Santa Ynez, sneaking past 7-6.
Rolando Quinones was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brandon Correa, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Reedley typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Immanuel proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Pirates. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Pirates on their field since May 9, 2024.
Julian Ornelas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Immanuel is 9-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Ornelas was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025.
Ornelas wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Titus Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs Young has posted since back in April. Kelton Eastham was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Immanuel's win bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Monache, their victory bumped their record up to 24-8.
Monache couldn't quite get it done against Immanuel in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Marauders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
