Beatrice came out on top against Seward on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Orangemen were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Bluejays. The Orangemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Karrigan Henrichs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Henrichs was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Beatrice let Sadie Hereth and Callie Schwisow run wild. Hereth went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Schwisow went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tana Antons, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Beatrice was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Beatrice's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Seward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Beatrice wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 win against St. Cecilia on the 13th. As for Seward, they have also already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 13th.
