Basketball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Burroughs Bears, falling 55-13. The game marked the Tornados' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Aileen Nazaryan was Hoover's leading scorer, having posted four points.

It was another big night for Mariam Fahs, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards for Burroughs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Pracha, who posted seven points.

Hoover now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Hoover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-32 loss against Arcadia on the 21st. As for Burroughs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-19 defeat against Camarillo on the 18th.
