Poway falls despite strong effort from Ari Mason

Recap: Poway Titans vs. El Dorado Golden Hawks
On Wednesday, Poway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to El Dorado.
Despite the loss, Poway still got an impressive performance from Ari Mason, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Johnson, who scored nine points.
Poway's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for El Dorado, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Poway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Spring Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Spring Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Poway in their respective states (Spring Valley is ranked 30th in Nevada, while Poway is ranked 115th in California). El Dorado will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Sherwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sherwood is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
