Baseball Recap: Byron-Bergen's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Webber, Byron-Bergen was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Alexander Trojans by a score of 5-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Bees as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Maxwell Marsocci spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 18 Ks. Byron-Bergen is 2-1 when Marsocci allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Dylan Utter was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Byron-Bergen's record is now 3-11. As for Alexander, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Byron-Bergen has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Attica on the 14th. Alexander has also already played their next game (against Kendall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
