Basketball Game Preview: Williams Valley Vikings vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs

The Williams Valley Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Tri-Valley Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Williams Valley nor Tri-Valley posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Williams Valley is headed into Monday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They came up short against Northern Lebanon on Friday, falling 44-18. The game marked Williams Valley's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley took a blow against Halifax on Saturday, falling 57-23.

Williams Valley will need focus on slowing down Faith Artz, one of several Tri-Valley players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Artz is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Snyder, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Williams Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Tri-Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Williams Valley against Tri-Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 61-20 win.
