Soccer Game Preview: Fillmore vs. Carpinteria

The Fillmore Flashes will take on the Carpinteria Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fillmore will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Fillmore will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Santa Paula, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Fillmore was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Santa Paula back in December of 2024. The result was nothing new for the Flashes, who have now won three matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carpinteria hadn't done well against Hueneme recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Carpinteria never let Hueneme onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The Warriors' winning goal came courtesy of Logan Labistour.

Makenna Tobin, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Carpinteria squad sat out for Friday's game. With Tobin sitting this one out, Lacey Zimmerman got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 56.7).

Fillmore's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Carpinteria, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.
