Softball Recap: Pike County Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pike County got themselves on the board against Callaway on Tuesday, but Callaway never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Pike County, bringing their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Callaway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Pike County will venture away from home to square off against McIntosh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
