Anslie Worley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Worley was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Kaz McLoughlin was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since September 3rd. Brooke Parkes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 14 consecutive matchups.
Dunwoody's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Chamblee, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chamblee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Dunwoody struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
