Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. East Laurens

The Central Chargers will take on the East Laurens Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Crawford County who was credited with the win on Thursday. The Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Central's three. Central have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Laurens is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals back in March, they were much more limited against Academy for Classical Education last Thursday. They fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but East Laurens couldn't quite close it out.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for East Laurens, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8.
