Baseball Recap: North Miami Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, North Miami was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Maconaquah Braves, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 last Saturday.

North Miami has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for Maconaquah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Coming up, North Miami will venture away from home to face off against Northwestern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Maconaquah, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mississinewa at 5:30 p.m.
