Pinewood picks up 11th straight win at home

Recap: Pinewood Panthers vs. Menlo School Knights

In what's become a running theme this season, the Pinewood Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-43 margin over Menlo School. The victory was nothing new for Pinewood as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Alex Facelo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Vallory Kuelker, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Menlo School's loss came despite strong showings from Karen Xin and Ruiqi Liu. Xin scored 22 points, while Liu scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Pinewood's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.8 points. As for Menlo School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinewood will take on Priory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pinewood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches. As for Menlo School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
