Softball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short

After flying high against Landmark Christian on Thursday, Walker came back down to earth. The Wolverines wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with the WolfPack: they've now lost eight in a row.

Walker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Dege, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Walker's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Whitefield Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Walker will square off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will challenge King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
