Basketball Game Preview: San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies vs. Shandon Outlaws

The San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies will square off against the Shandon Outlaws at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy was beaten by Valley Christian Academy 60-13. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shandon). They strolled past Cuyama Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 33-18. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Outlaws.

Shandon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

San Luis Obispo Classical Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Shandon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
