Clayton extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-1. They came out on top against the McCluer North Stars by a score of 17-14. That's more bragging rights for the Greyhounds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Having lost for the first time this season, McCluer North fell to 8-1. The loss was their first of the season.

For McCluer North's part, Makayla Kirchner made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Marayah Taylor, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton will take on Hazelwood Central at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McCluer North, they will challenge Normandy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
