St. Mary's-Colgan won the last time they faced Columbus and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers blew past the Titans, posting a 55-13 victory. With the Panthers ahead 55-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Despite the defeat, Columbus saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jayden Dohle rushed for 84 yards and one score. Dohle got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 73 yards.

The win was the third in a row for St. Mary's-Colgan, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average this season. As for Columbus, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's-Colgan will head out on the road to square off against Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbus, they will be playing at home against Neodesha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
