Basketball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 53-42 to the Central Mountain Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ironmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-24 back in January.

Central Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Doyle, who posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. Doyle has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Lena Walker was another key player, putting up 17 points and six steals.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Central Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Danville has already played their next game, a 55-18 defeat against Shikellamy on the 25th. As for Central Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-38 loss against Jersey Shore on the 25th.
